Mostly we all, store different types of information and data in pen drive or other removable devices. This information may be our personal and very useful. If your personal data goes to anyone, what you will do? So, the best way is to make your pen drive or other removable devices. If you lock your pen drive with password then nobody can open it without your permission and can’t see what is stored inside of it.

You can make your pen drive password protected with a little software. The name of this software is “Portable USB Safeguard”. It is 92 KB size software. It is also a freeware.

How to use this PC tips: Please copy the downloaded file into your pen drive or removable device. “Double Click” on the file and give a password. Now, the work is finished.

If next time, any one try to open your pen drive there will only show the name of the software. To unlock, double click on it and give the password.

But, if you are using Windows XP/7/Vista, then here I can give you a PC tips to keep your PC viruses free. You can disable your USB devices. Again you can activate also them. That means, only you can use USB devices in your PC. No other can.

To disable your removable devices in windows XP/7/vista, Go to “Start” menu and then click “Search”. Type there “Regedit” and press “Enter”. If you are a XP user, go to “Run” and type there “Regedit”. A new window named “Registry Editor” will open.

Go to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\USBSTOR”. Click on the file named “Start” and edit the value. Give there the value 4. Then, no removable device will work in your PC.

Today I will teach you a new and important PC Tips. With this tips you can make your pen drive or memory card’s memory double. That means you can convert your 1 GB pen drive or memory card into 2 GB.

Let’s follow the processes below to make this change:

1. Take a 1 GB pen drive or memory card.
2. Backup your files into your PC if they are useful.
3. Now, download the software and unzip it. Then “double click” on it. Give the password “Tikly”.
4. Connect your pen drive or memory card.
5. Select drive and press the button “fix”.
6. Then the processing will start.
7. If need or the process wants, please format it.
8. Then click on “Yes”.
9. If the command is to disconnect your device then disconnect it and again connect it.
10. Now, 1 GB will show 2 GB.
11. You can format your device.
12. Now, transfer data to your device like before but with a huge memory.
